Business Development Manager opportunity with a Series A Fintech startup. This a full-time, remote based role covering the Midlands or South West of the United Kingdom.

Our client is a fast-growing business within the financing space with a unique, in-house SaaS product offering. With an established partnership network of lenders and a strong client base which are forecasting to triple in 2019, they are now looking to build on the success of their current business development team in London and establish a strong presence in the Midlands and South West. Your role will entail defining and executing sales strategies and integrated campaigns to win new clients and build a strong foundation within your region.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Selling a SaaS product within the financial services space
  • Develop a strategic sales plan for generating a pipeline for new business in your region
  • Grow and develop the client relationships throughout the region
  • Close deals with new businesses
  • In partnership with the Commercial Director, win large enterprise contracts in your region
  • Delivering events to recruit, educate and grow awareness of your employer’s business in the area
  • Demonstrate products to large and small audiences through demos, webinars and face to face meetings
  • Develop strong relationships at all levels, identifying key decision makers and influencers
  • Utilise Salesforce to manage your pipeline, and to allow effective reporting
  • Take full accountability for defined targeted customers, using metrics to monitor performance and understand results and drivers of performance
  • Innovate in the business model as appropriate, incorporating best practices from other companies and from within
  • Collaborate closely with other team members to drive results

About You:

  • Passionate about technology and the startup community and being a part of it
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills and love conducting business with on the phone or getting out and meeting people in person
  • You’re dynamic, entrepreneurial and thrive in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment
  • Highly driven to succeed both individually and as part of a team
  • Already possess several years’ experience in a SaaS business development role
  • Experience selling SaaS products into financial or other professional services
  • 2:1 or equivalent experience preferable
  • Clean driving licence
